Ginta Tinte Vasermane was born in Riga (Latvia), graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy (NL) at audiovisual department and Master of Film at the Netherlands Film Academy (NL). She works in the field of moving image, film, multi channel video installation, sculpture and costume design. Ginta has exhibited work at the Eye Film Museum (NL), European Media Art Festival (EMAF) Osnabrück (DE); Art Rotterdam (NL); ISCP - International Studio & Curatorial Program; Residency Unlimited and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, NYC among others. Ginta has been nominated for Mondrian Funds Young Talent grant and to Rene Coelho prize by Dutch Media Art Institute. 2023/24 she was 4th Artist in residency at Eye Film Museum (NL).
She had made costumes for films, commercials, and lately also for theatre and performances. She have been nominated for best costume design for film at Latvian National Film Award. Her costume work has been shown in International Theatre Amsterdam ITA (NL), Schauspielhaus Hannover(DE), Shauspielhouse Bochum(NL), Theater Frascati(NL), Veem House for Performance(NL), Julidans(NL), The Nederlandse Dansdagen(NL) , Batard Festival(BE), among others.
